6100 Series Diagnostics

PROBLEM:

  • My lock does not open every time I enter my code.

CAUSE:

  • This could be an indication that the lock has an electronic
    short.  
  • There could damage to the lock's ribbon cable during
    installation.
  • There could be a problem with the keypad.

SOLUTION:

  • Inspect the ribbon cable. If there are any hard bends,  
    crimping, cuts or obvious visible damage then replacement
    will be required.
  • If the keypad is suspected to be faulty, or the ribbon cable is
    found to be damaged then Please contact you safe
    manufacturer for all information relating to warranty and
    repair.
